Delhi Girls: Stylish & Sweet Or Simply Superficial?
Delhi’s reputation often precedes the city itself.
You’ve likely heard a mix of opinions, both good and bad.
When I visited Delhi, I noticed several things.
Just like other cities-
Delhi has its posh areas as well as areas where garbage is strewn across the roads.
You will see boys and girls, creating content on road as well as people rushing down to the metro for what is considered as more of a ‘traditional work’ or as conservatives define it #RealJob.
However, there are a couple of aspects that stand out about the people of Delhiites compared to other cities:
1. Helping those in need. (They say it right- “Delhi is indeed dilwalo ki”.
Like sometime you don’t even have to ask for it!
2. I don’t get it how ? But there is always some demolition going on in every neighborhood of Delhi!!
Their buildings are like short time Fling! You build it up without giving it a second thought; than you realize that there is no future in it so you decide on “WRECK IT RALPH! THERE IS A BETTER HOME AND A BETTER HOMIE JUST AROUND THE CORNER”
3. Mass in muscles & tattoos on display: You can easily find 2–3 gym in each corner of the gali and 2/4 guys showing off their big tattoos on their arms and chest. And they will make sure that it get’s noticed even if they have to open three buttons of their shirt. Well in their defence- they worked hard for it!
Now, it’s time to dive into the subject you came here for-
DELHI GIRLS
When you see from a distance. They seem confident. Almost intimidating!
Stylish of course. So stylish that sometime their OOTD over-shadows their existence beyond that.
With their bulky headphones and their expression-less face, they may seem unapproachable, but when you look closely, you’ll realize they aren’t as different as they might first appear.
If you pay attention, you will see they are not expression-less.
THEY ARE SIMPLY TIRED WITH THE DAUNTING TASK OF KEEPING IT TOGETHER FOR THE SAKE OF THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES. JUST LIKE YOU AND ME.
They too, get upset over their relationships.
They too, laugh on the same reels we share on Instagram. They too listen to similar odd music under their bulky Bluetooth that you listen to occasionally.
And when you truly try to reach out to them, you will find out-
THEY ARE SWEET AND COMPASSIONATE!
Ask for directions, and they will not only tell you the whole address but also make sure you understand it. Ask for a pad, and they’ll provide pad, painkillers and ensure you’re all right, stain-free and ready to go.
Yes, Delhi girls are Sassy.
That does not mean they are just a label.
They are more than ZARA V/S SAROJINI .
They are talented.
They are Sweet, Insightful, Helpful
and not superficial at all!
So yeah! That’s my observation of Delhi Girls.
So next time you see them and are wondering whether to approach them or not, just go ahead and talk. Maybe she’s wondering the same thing about you. Let’s set aside any hesitation and embrace Sisterhood!
